That a single shot of espresso at Small Tea, an ambient little cafe just off Miracle Mile, costs a whopping four dollars (US) is hardly the most egregious markup in Miami; it’s not even the worst markup in Coral Gables; my only issue is with the irony of it, insofar as, once the cashier told me how much I was gonna be paying for this little cuppa coffee, I didn’t really need the caffeine anymore.
